Purpose:

Change behaviour to reduce the transmission of HIV and promote the rights of vulnerable groups in general and brothel based Female Sex Workers and their families in cities of Nawab Shah and Mirpur Khaas in particular 

 

Target Group:    200 Female Sex Workers  Of Nawabshah  And  Mirpur Khaas

 Expected Outputs:

·          Preparation of ground for work in the Target Population

·          Cooperation from Law Enforcing Agencies

·          Buildup of acceptability and reputation in the area. For the creation of conducive environment and future sustainability

·          Vision and understanding of problems to the field workers and methodology of work

·          Creation and Prevalence of awareness about HIV/AIDS and STIs and Safer Sex behaviors among the target Population (FSWs)

·          Care and Support to the FSWs and their families and access to services to prevent the sexual transmission of HIV improved.

·          Enabling environment strengthened

·          Capacity Building & Efforts for sustainability

Purpose:

·          Behavioral change in 200 fisherman towards safe sex by the end of the project

·          Prevention of HIV/AIDS among Fisherman community in Mauripur by providing Primary health care facilities and STIs treatment.

Target Group:       200 Fisherman

 Expected Outputs:

·          Places of fisherman identified and needs felt addressed.

·          Infra structure for Primary health care and STIs treatment is available.

·          Primary Health Care and STIs treatment is Provided to fisherman community and  to their families.

·          Suspected cases are reported to surveillance  centers for Testing after

·          Reduced HIV prevalence among fisherman Community

·          Behavioral change in Peer Groups about HIV/AIDS Prevention.

·          Capacity building of Project staff and involvement of health care providers practicing in project Area in HIV/AIDS prevention Programme.

Title of the Project:   Reducing risk of HIV/AIDS & STIs among MSM

Purpose:

·          To provide basic information about the HIV/AIDS and STIs to Target group (MSM)

·          STI services will be provided among the target group (MSM)

·          Awareness campaign will be held among 540 street children, Beggar children, labour children, Youth, MSMs, and general population

·          To provide training to 50 GPs and  40 Homeopaths in Shahdadkot and Larkana within specific period of 18 months

·          To provide training 60 CBD 15 from Shahdadkot City and 45 from Larkana City

·          Organizing training for 50 NGOs/CBOs, and 50 Peer educators

·          To provide 300000 condoms among the target group MSM to reduce the risk of HIV and STIs

 

Target Group:     Male Sex with Male (MSM)                                                                                     

 Expected Outputs:

·          Improved / access to services to prevent the transmission of HIV/AIDS and Access to services for STIs

·          No of MSM knowing use of condom and correct use as well as disposable of condoms.

·          No of MSM who are HIV infected will be reported.

·          Favourable attitude / improved knowledge of target group and general population (Youth).

·          Enabling environment improved.

·          Capacity strengthened.

Purpose:

·          To increase knowledge and awareness level on HIV/AIDS of at least 60-70% of the total  jail inmates in district jail Larkana and Dadu;

·          To advocate the message of importance for preventive measures of HIV/AIDS/STIs and practicing safe sexual/IDUs behaviors of at least 60-70% of the total  jail inmates in district jail Larkana and Dadu;

·          To train Peer Leaders (educators) to promote Better life Skills and HIV/AIDS knowledge to jail inmates;

·          To provide HIV/STIs related care & support services to the vulnerable groups like jail inmates i.e.  IDUs, etc in the district Jail Larkana and Dadu

Target Group:            300 Jail Inmates

                                                                                         

 Expected Outputs:

·          Coordination extended by prison’s authority and district management;

·          Capacity of peer educators strengthened;

·          Jail inmates received information and improved knowledge and attitudes about the hazards and prevention of HIV/AIDS;

·          Access to services to prevent the IDU transmission of HIV improved

·          To conduct needs assessment survey of PLWHA

·          Provide Primary Health Care services to at least 200 PLWHA and their family members by using the existing public, non-governmental and private health facilities.

·          Provide skill building and employability training to at least 100 PLWHA an d 100 members of their family, who is responsible for livelihood earning for the family

·          Advocacy and resource mobilization for the target group through Bait-ul-Maal or other resource to make them economically self-sufficient.

 

Target Group:      200  PLWHA and their families

 Expected Outputs:

·          Need Assessment report

·          No. of PLWHA registered. Number of PLWHA getting Primary health Care

·          Improved Living Standard of PLWHA  and their families. Number of persons employed.

·          Skilled and trained PLWHA or their family member, Number of People Participating  in support group and social activities.
